There will also be a room full of trampolines, a foam pit to leap in, and a climbing wall!!
The Reunion will begin a showing of the Summer 2018 Video Yearbook, followed by a pizza party for campers, counselors and parents. As with all Camps Kenwood and Evergreen events, all food and drinks will be peanut and tree nut free, and we will also have gluten and dairy free options available. Traveling to Camp
Camp Opens on Saturday, June 29th. Parents will need to let us know via the Transportation Form in your child’s online account how your child will be traveling to Camp at the end of the summer. Please do not rely upon email alone, as it is not 100% reliable. In addition, we cannot remember travel arrangements from last year without being reminded (we’re good, but not that good!). We thank you for your assistance in our travel planning.
Travel by Bus From NY, NJ and CT
Again, we will assume that all campers will be boarding at the bus stops located in or close to their home states, unless we are specifically notified by you of any other arrangements! If it is more convenient for you to have your child board at another stop, please contact us and let us know before the departure date. Please do not assume that we will remember last year’s individual arrangements.
New Jersey Departure — In an effort to cut down on bus travel time for our campers there is no longer a bus stop in New Jersey. Parents of NJ campers are asked to have their child board either in Purchase NY or Westport CT.
New York Departure – 9:30 AM on Saturday, June 29th – SUNY Purchase College, Performing Arts Center Parking Lot, 735 Anderson Hill Rd, Purchase, NY 10577. Please check in no later than 9:15 AM. Click here for directions.
Signs are posted throughout the campus leading to the Performing Arts Center Parking Lot. From the parking lot you will be able to see this view of the Performing Arts Center.
Fairfield County Departure – Please arrive between 10:00 and 10:15 AM on Saturday, June 30th – EXIT 22 SERVICE AREA off of I-95 in Fairfield, CT. Parents are asked to the buses in the bus parking area just beyond the gas filling area and restaurants.
Travel by Bus from MA and RI
Boston Area buses to Camp will depart on Saturday, June 29th at 2:30 PM, from the Riverside MBTA Parking Lot, Far End. The station is located just off Exit 22 of Route 95. Please plan to check in with our staff no later than 2:15 PM. Click here for directions
Travel by Plane to Camp
If your child is traveling to Camp by plane please be in direct contact with the Camp Office no later than May 1st to confirm your child’s travel plans. Please make sure that you consult with Jason in the Camp Office before booking any flights. This summer we have children traveling to Camp from over a dozen states and five countries, and it is crucial that we know the complete travel itinerary of each child. Families interested in what their child should bring on an unaccompanied flight may find this link helpful.
If your child is traveling by plane please remember that luggage should not be checked, but should be shipped by separate carrier, as discussed in the “Baggage” section.
Travel by Car to Camp —A Special Note…
We strongly recommend that new campers come up on the Camp bus rather than by car. The Camp experience really begins on the bus ride up to Camp–new friendships are often formed by the end of that bus ride. Good-byes are also easier at the bus. If you are considering this option, it is very important that you let us know as soon as possible. Please plan to arrive between 2:30 and 2:45 PM., and make your departure as speedy as possible.

If this changes, please contact us as soon as possible. Please do not rely upon email alone, as it is not 100% reliable. In addition, we cannot rely upon second hand reports of travel changes from your children during the summer, nor can we remember travel arrangements from last year without being reminded (we’re good, but not that good!). We thank you for your assistance in our travel planning.
