Our amazing Boston Area New Camper Party was two weeks ago, and now we are thrilled to host another at the House of Sports in Ardsley, NY this coming Sunday. New Camper Parties go a long way towards helping our newest campers and camp parents feel great about joining our brother-sister summer camp community, and give families an opportunity […]
There are times when I’m talking about our summer camp community that people give me a look that says “but realistically, could your campers really that nice to each other?” Sometimes they even come out and say “just because you tell them to care about the other members of the community doesn’t mean they actually do […]

From 2:00pm – 4:00pm we’ll be playing gaga and street hockey, working on art projects, and hanging with our camp friends and counselors.
We had almost 40 counselors and staff join us at our New Camper Party on Sunday. Our camp staff are so dedicated to the work that they do with our campers, and each of them was eager to welcome the newest members of our NH overnight camp community.
Typically, new campers approach their first overnight camp adventure with a blend of excitement and nervousness. Whether they are planning to join us for 4 or 7 weeks, they worry that they might not make strong social connections or find peers to become friends with.
Preparing for your first summer away from home can be a little anxiety provoking. As excited as you may be, there’s a good chance you’re nervous, too. Each spring new campers often start asking themselves questions like “will I make friends easily?”, “will the counselors be nice?” and “how will I know if I’m going […]
