Our brother sister summer camp community lasts all year long
The amazing summer of 2014 at Camps Kenwood and Evergreen ended one week ago. While the members of our camp family are now scattered all over the four corners of the globe we wanted to remind you that our brother-sister summer camp community lasts all year long. Just days after saying goodbye to everyone at the bus stops the Sebells and Brody families were in Ogunquit, Maine, and we were thrilled to see Brooke Spiegel and her family, and Brandon Mauricio and his. We look forward to a fall and winter of bumping into as many of our campers, counselors, parents and alumni as we can!
We also have some amazing special events coming up this fall and winter to help bring our community back together. On Friday, October 17th we will have GAGA parties in NYC for new and veterans junior campers, and a similar event on November 2nd at Everwood Day Camp in Sharon, MA. We will be emailing families details about these events in the coming weeks.
In just a few weeks we will also be announcing the dates of the two upcoming reunions for campers of all ages. The Boston event will be sometime in December, and the NY/NJ/CT area event will be in either late January or early February. In January all campers who will be seniors in 2015 will have the opportunity to join us for the 14th annual Camp Winter Weekend. This is an amazing event that takes place on our actual campus (usually when it’s covered in snow!). Over the course of the weekend we typically sled in the hollow, play hockey on the frozen lake, go ice fishing, takes hikes around Camp, and just enjoy being together again in the coziness of the heated K&E lodges. We love all of these opportunities to bring our brother-sister summer camp community together!
And while nothing compares to actually being together in New Hampshire, we also have a number of social media options for staying in touch with the Camp Administration, and the other members of our Camp family. If you haven’t already, we invite you to join us on our official Facebook wall, our Youtube channel, our Instagram page, our Pinterest boards, and on our Tumblr page.
We also know that many campers went home not having exchanged contact information with all of their friends. If you would like a copy of the Summer 2014 Camper Directory please click on the button below. The directory can be found in your Parent Forms dashboard on your CampInTouch account.
