Meet one of the fantastic chefs behind our amazing camp foodFebruary 25, 2016
When you are at overnight camp there are certain things that help make living away from home more enjoyable. It’s important to be sleeping well, making friends, having fun, and of course, eating foods that are both tasty and good for you. It’s why our brother-sister summer camp in NH puts so much energy towards providing our camp community with the best meals possible. It’s also why we have 5 talented chefs and a baker on our dining hall team.
In the past I’ve written profiles about many members of the team that help produce some of the best camp food in the country. Last summer we were thrilled to welcome Chef Kyla to the K&E family. Throughout the summer she cooked us delicious vegetarian and gluten free meals. I also introduced you to our baker Kristy, who gained immediate notoriety for creating delicious Minion Cupcakes for the opening day of last summer!
Just the other day I noticed that someone else was kvelling about our Executive Chef Arnaldo Posadas in an online article. When he’s not at our overnight camp Chef Arnaldo is the head of the chef team at the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at the University of Illinois. Take a look at the article and interview about him. You’ll immediately understand why our food was so good last summer, and also why we feel so fortunate to have him as the head of the team producing our camp food. You’ll also get a glimpse into how nice a guy he is!
