We hope to see you there! Come hang out with your Camp friends!
With school in session our sleep away camp in New Hampshire is still on the minds of many of our campers. They miss their summer home, camp friends, and the great times we have every day of our 7 week experience. Last week I shared a four article piece that one of our campers in […]

Our campers are very passionate about our community, and this often leads to them create amazing projects for school about our sleep away camp in New Hampshire. Recently, Caroline, who will be returning to K&E for her 3rd summer in June, wrote this detailed report about why she loves being a part of the Evergreen […]
Our sleep away camp community had a really fun party for our returning and new campers ages 7-12. This special event was about giving our veteran campers a chance to see their camp friends and counselors, while also providing our new campers with the opportunity to begin meeting and making new camp friends.
Yesterday was our overnight camp’s annual Boston Area Fall Camper Party for campers, ages 7-12 years old. It was a jam packed fun afternoon of getting to do some of our favorite summer camp activities. We played gaga, street hockey, indoor soccer, ping pong, and basketball. We also worked on art projects like painting and decorating […]
One of the best things about Camp Friends is how they are so often willing to go the extra mile in helping out. Longtime Kenwood and Evergreen counselors Josh and Sean were interested in becoming serious bakers. Not having much experience in this department they reached out to Kristie Archer, our overnight camp’s expert at […]
With all of our recent blog postings about Camp Friends we could not be more excited about Sunday’s upcoming Boston & Rhode Island Area party for New and Returning Junior Campers! We can’t wait to see and hang out with so many of our camp friends. The part will be from 2:00 – 4:00pm at Everwood […]
We talk a lot about Camp Friends. How they love you unconditionally, how they know you on such a deep, profound level, and how the friendships forged at our overnight camp in NH seem to last forever. This photo below would be a classic example of how powerful and long lasting Kenwood and Evergreen friendships […]
During the school year the most common questions we get from our Camp parents relate to their child’s social and emotional growth. As hard as it may try, school is just not as fun and exciting as 7 weeks at overnight camp, and navigating the ins and outs of social life during elementary, middle and […]
One of the hardest parts of being such a close-knit camp community is when we have to say goodbye to someone we love. Sadly, on Friday we learned of the passing of our friend Jim Morris.
Towards the close of business yesterday the Partnership for 21st Century Learning announced it had designated 16 early learning centers, K12 schools, districts and beyond school programs in the United States as 21st Century Learning Exemplars for 2017-2018. These learning institutions were recognized for their effort in “equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge for success […]
This morning we woke up to some amazing news about a member of our summer camp community. Longtime Evergreen camper Lauren Singer was named by WebMD as one of its four 2017 Health Hero Award recipients! Now in its 11th year, this award celebrates “individuals who are working to improve health and wellness by changing […]
There was a very interesting New York Times article last week that has been making the rounds amongst our leadership team. It’s titled “What Colleges Want In An Applicant (Everything)”. It details the many frustrations of parents and high achieving students as they try to navigate the college admissions process, especially considering how hard it […]
On Monday I put the call out for parents to send us photos of their Kenwood and Evergreen campers dressed up for Halloween and in typical fashion they did not disappoint! Check out these amazing, incredibly creative costumes.
