A weekend to remember…August 5, 2019
This weekend saw a double header of amazing weekend events!
We began proceedings on Saturday with our annual music festival ‘Hollowpallooza’. Over 40 bands containing 100+ campers and staff took to the stage showcasing their musical talents. Music of every genre was played while the camp community hung out in the hollow, enjoying the evening’s entertainment. Whether you play guitar, drums, bass or enjoy singing. There was a spot for anybody who wanted to perform. We also had a media, tech and refreshments crew!
On Sunday our JC’s put together an amazing carnival day. With 20 stations Including a 100ft slip and slide, skee-ball, cotton candy and our famous carnival corn! The weather was amazing as we spent the afternoon with friends on the JBF.
Throughout the weekend, every camper also rotated through a drumming lesson with our friends from Path To Rhythm. They brought fun and laughter to the gym, providing a musical masterclass with their 40 African djembe drums.
It was an incredible ending to a wonderful week. Additionally, tonight is the night of our senior show ‘Footloose’. Which we will cover in tomorrow’s blog!
