A Favorite Staff Training TraditionJune 18, 2013
Today was Scott’s birthday, and along with the celebration comes a really cool tradition. Phyllis gives him 2 dozen roses, which he then hands out to people who have made a recent difference in his life or in Camp’s. As each rose is given out, Scott thanks the recipient and explains why he is giving it to them. From there, the holders of the roses travel around the room and give theirs to someone who has made a difference in their recent lives. It’s incredibly powerful to watch a group of people from around the world pause for a moment to sincerely thank friends and coworkers for being kind and caring.
This tradition is just another way that we try to highlight and celebrate the people in our communtity who are living the values of Camps Kenwood & Evergreen. Now in its 14th year, this has become a favorite staff training tradition of ours. If you’d like to see some photographs of this Kenwood & Evergreen tradition please click here. And a quick hello to Mrs. Sally Pym, who we learned reads our blog every day in the UK!
