 Camp Kenwood is the beloved summer home for 160 boys and 75 staff members. On average, over 93% of eligible Kenwood campers return each summer. Our campers tell us they return because of the strength of the friendships that they make at Kenwood, and that each summer they have the opportunity to be themselves in a way that they can’t anywhere else.
A summer at Kenwood is about developing new skills for life. This includes becoming a better ball player, but also becoming a better friend. It’s about learning a new song on the electric guitar, and it’s also about learning how to live away from home and with other people. It’s about trying everything exciting our program has to offer, but also trying some activities that are a bit out of your comfort zone.
Part of the Kenwood experience is the positive relationships that our bunk counselors forge with their campers. The vast majority of our bunk counselors are former campers. Having grown up in this community they understand the lasting developmental impact Kenwood has on each child. Our staff return summer after summer to pass on the Kenwood experience to the next generation of campers.
