Camp Kenwood is a special summer home for 160 boys and 75 staff members. Kenwood boys live in spacious cabins of 7 or 8 campers and two counselors. The vast majority
of our bunk counselors are former campers, and return summer after summer to share their Kenwood experiences with a new group
of campers.
We welcome our new campers into camp with a special big brother/little brother program. Our oldest campers (who are 15) paired with a first-time camper and become their special friend for the entire summer. On weekdays, campers receive high-quality instruction in sports (baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, volleyball, archery, football, etc.), the arts (crafts, ceramics, drama, photography, video, music, etc.) and at the waterfront (swimming lessons, boating and water-skiing).
Campers travel with their bunk counselors and the other boys their age to each activity, where our specialty staff and their
very own counselors provide individualized instruction. Every group leaves camp on at least one overnight hiking trip and one
overnight canoe trip, as well as many day trips throughout the summer.
On weekends and some weeknights, Kenwood campers join the girls of Camp Evergreen for amazing, creative special events.
