Camp is a place where we encourage each other to reach out and
We know that these are big goals but they really do reflect the
essence of the Kenwood & Evergreen experience each summer.
Naturally, that experience includes a myriad of fun activities
each and every day, including outstanding athletic instruction,
great waterfront activities, creative arts programming, exciting
outdoor adventure activities, original and imaginative special
events and evening activities, and, most importantly, an
environment of genuine support and encouragement.

participate in range of activities, and come ready to play and
learn. We take safe risks at Camp, and if we don’t succeed, our
friends help us to pick ourselves up again and learn from our
mistakes. Camp is also a place where we learn to be good leaders
as well as good team members. It is a place where we learn to
feel comfortable making our voices heard, and where we truly
listen to each other with respect and understanding.
Our activities, and the fine instruction that we provide, give
our children the opportunity to experience success in a range
of areas. Together with the close friendships that form among
our campers, our children come to truly believe in themselves
as capable of more than they ever imagined. They have stronger
self esteem, increased independence, and much greater resiliency
than they did when they started the summer. Best of all, their
growth is based on real experience, rather than encouragement
alone, so it stays with them. Their development is deep and
meaningful, and the ways in which our campers grow each summer
are clear to all of our parents the moment they step off the
bus at the end of the season. Best of all, it stays with them
into the school year.
